| Hey all you fans of my boring life. I guess it's about due time for an update so that's what I'll do now.
Things have been going real well with school lately (big surprise). I found out that I got a 95% on my 10-page Vietnam paper that I had to write on the First Vietnam War. I was thrilled about that. It really brightened up my day. Then, in my Business Communications class, I had to give my presentation on genealogy, and I could tell that the young kids in my class weren't too interested but the adults thought it was neat. I found out I got a 95% on that as well! Then I took my last test in that class and I got a 94%!!!! I was/am really on a role!
Exam time is coming up sooner than I would like it to. Tomorrow I only have to go in for Financial Accounting I from 2:00 until 2:50 p.m. During that class we will be taking our final test (before the exam), which will be all open-book and mostly definitions. Should be an easy A. Then on Tuesday I only have to go in for my Java Programming class from 12:00-1:50 pm and most of that time will be spent working on our final projects. So, basically I'm pretty much done!
I'm hoping that I won't have to take my Business Communications exam. Prof. Meyers said that if you get a 93% or above you don't have to take it and my grade is going to be close to a 93%. Besides that exam, I will have my Vietnam exam from 12:30-2:30 and Financial Accounting from 2:45-4:45, all on December 20th.
Christmas should be real nice this year. My uncle & his girlfriend from Berlin, NJ will be coming along with his oldest daughter and possibly her fiancee from Greenwich, CT and his youngest daughter from NYC. Also, my grandmother's cousin & his wife (who gave me the Fleetwood) will be coming from Clearwater, Fla. Should be a very enjoyable time.
Well, that's about everything. I hope you & your family have a most enjoyable holiday season!
| I guess that's it's about due time for another update. Every 15 days seems to be my pace.
Thanksgiving was good. My uncle and his gf from South Jersey (Berlin) came up. Lots of turkey, not enough stuffing! My mom makes the best oyster stuffing and we only get it once or twice a year, so it's delicious!
Christmas should be very nice. My uncle and his gf are coming again, and so will my cousins from NY and CT (possibly including my one cousin's fiancee) and also my grandmother's cousin and his wife from NJ/FL who usually come up at Turkey Day might be coming for Xmas.
Exam time is drawing near.....dreaded exams. I have three out of four of my exams on one day and the fourth exam, which actually will just be turning in a project, on the following day. I'm going to have to do some major cramming
Soma finally assigned that extra credit for Java. Naturally she assigned it during Thanksgiving Vacation, the one week where I wasn't getting tutored. I got totally confused working on it and I e-mailed my tutor and she didn't get back to me the second time until 1:15 this afternoon, at which point I was already 3/4 of the way finished with class. I skipped ASP tonight (I withdrew, why should I go and get lost in the class?) (also told my parents that the prof said I didn't have to come anymore because they were going to be working on their final projects for the remaining classes --- lol how stupid are my parents to believe that ) But on the flip side my parents are making me try and figure out this damn impossible extra credit and try turning it in late.
Okay enough jibber jabber outa me. Time to continue workin on my project. Latah.
| Good morning world. How is everyone? Things are going good here.....getting close to the end of the semester and the holiday season.
I finally picked my classes for Spring. Since I'm majoring in E-Commerce as well as CIT-Web, I am going to take one course from that selection: Introduction to Web Site Design. I am going to be taking Java Servlets (CIT), American History I (general education elective - CIT), and Geography of the U.S. and Candada (elective - CIT). The only bad thing about my schedule is that the Into to Web Site Design course is from 8:00-9:50 a.m. , which means I'll have to get up early. There is a good side to my schedule though, and that is I'll be able to work on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
I'm looking foward to Thanksgiving break. My uncle from New Jersey and possibly his girlfriend will be coming up. I'll also be going to visit my grandmother's cousin, Mary Jane, who lives in Emmaus sometime over break. Also, any free time I have will be spent working on my Vietnam paper which is due November 29th, same day as I have to give my presentation for Business Comm.
Okay, that's about it from here. Everyone have a good day
| Well, the country has spoken and declared President George W. Bush the winner of the 2004 election, much to my dismay. I was so hoping for Kerry to win, but that just didn't happen. Now my worst fears have come true......FOUR MORE YEARS OF BUSH
In other news concerning my life, I have decided to pick up another major at college, pushing my graduation off until Spring, 2006. I will be getting a dual diploma in both Computer Inofrmation Technology (CIT) - Web Option and also a specialized diploma in E-Business. This will look very good on my resume to see that I graduate with two degrees.
I took my computer to Microapex over on Business Park Lane in Allentown today (right off of American Pkwy and Airport Rd....in that new section of American Pkwy). Lately I've been having problems with the computer freezing up and I've just gotten tired of it not starting up properly and the Microsoft Excel coming open every time I turned on the computer. Today when I turned it on it would not let me into Ancestry Family Tree (one of my genealogy programs) nor America Online. So I called my dad at work and asked him what I should do and he told me to take it over there. They told me, when I took it over, that it would cost between $35-75 to fix and that it would be ready by Friday. Also, they said that E-Machines (what I've always had) are great for just running the Internet, but when you try to run programs they freeze up.
I talked with my Business Communications professor after class about what I could give my oral presentation on and she said that Genealogy would be a great subject.
Finally, my Vietnam professor (on Monday) said that there would be no class today and that he wants us to skim through the three sources and give the author's opinion on the subject for each So much work and also it has to be in SIZE 10 FONT which will mean so much extra work on my part.
Okay, well I'll update again in a few days. Hopefully I'll have my computer back soon. Have a great night everyone!
| Well, I figure since I haven't updated this thing since October 8th and now that I've found out someone actually reads this, I'll keep you informed.
Nothing too exciting has happened since the last time I updated. I decided I'm going to write my Vietnam paper on the Indochina War that lasted from 1946-1954. I've already got three books and I'm still waiting on the fourth.
I'm looking foward to this weekend....my great aunt Ferne turned 80 on October 21st and her daughter is throwing her a surprise party at the Hanoverville Roadhouse on Saturday and that Sunday (the next day) her great-grandson, Joshua, is going to be baptized at church. It will be a pretty eventful weekend.
Well, now that I know someone actually reads this thing I'll update it more frequently, or at least try to. Everyone have a great night
